Blown Insulation
Where Should You Install Blown Insulation?
Blown insulation is versatile and can be installed in many places in your home or building. The most common areas to install blown insulation are in the attic and crawl spaces, between exterior walls and between interior floors.
The ease of installation and its long-lasting nature make this insulation one of Florida’s most popular choices.

Fiberglass Insulation
What Is Fiberglass Insulation?
The use of fiberglass for building insulation dates back decades. It’s the most widely used and trusted insulation material today. Fiberglass is manufactured by spinning molten glass into extremely fine fibers.
About 20 to 30 percent of the content in fiberglass comes from recycled glass. This makes it a suitable material if you’re looking for an eco-friendly choice.

Spray Foam Insulation
Benefits of Spray Foam Insulation for Miami Homes & Businesses
Spray foam insulation is applied wet and expands into a thick foam that fits snugly in wall cavities, crevices and gaps — therefore, it can be installed in hard-to-reach areas and around piping and wiring. Open-cell and closed-cell spray foam insulation services are also available.
Spray foam insulation is very energy-efficient and helps with air sealing. It can also be used nearly anywhere, such as attics and walls. Spray foam and other forms of home insulation can also help:
-
Make your home more comfortable year-round
-
Reduce noises from outside your home and between different rooms and levels
-
Improve the performance of your HVAC systems
-
Protect against air and moisture infiltration
-
Contribute to a healthier indoor environment
What’s the difference between open- and closed-cell spray foam?
-
Open-cell spray foam: This type is full of cells that aren’t completely encapsulated. In other words, the cells are deliberately left open. This makes the foam softer and more flexible.
-
Closed-cell spray foam: This type of spray foam is made up of cells that are completely closed. The cells are pressed together so air and moisture can’t get inside. This makes closed-cell spray foam much more rigid and stable than open-cell.

Rigid Board
What is rigid board insulation?
Rigid insulation sheathing is made of a rigid plastic foam that is typically sold in 4×8- or 4×10-footboards. The boards are available in several thicknesses and R-values; 1-inch and 2-inch thicknesses are common. Rigid insulation provides thermal protection and it can also serve as an air and moisture barrier.

Mineral wool is a fiber insulation, similar to fiberglass, but is made from natural materials and not glass. There are two kinds of mineral wool available for home insulation – rock wool, which is made from fibers of stone and slag wool, are fibers made from iron ore waste.

This heavyweight noise barrier is primarily used behind finished wall surfaces such as layers of drywall to block sound transmission. All dB sound blocking acoustic materials are made with POE (polyolefin elastomer) – the highest performing sound barrier compound for mass loaded acoustical applications.
